Private Flute Lessons

Amy Taylor teaches flute and piccolo lessons in Honolulu, Hawaii for students at all levels, beginner to advanced. She began her teaching career while studying for her undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas. In 2004 she moved her flute studio to Chicago to work on her Masters of Music at Northwestern University. She is currently a visiting professor at the University of Hawaii.

Educational Philosophy

For younger students at the beginner level, a half-hour lesson once a week usually works best. For more advanced students and those with a serious interest in improving musicality and technique, an hour is recommended.

Studio Policies

Parents are welcome to attend lessons with their children. Payment is due at the time of each lesson.

Lesson Cancellation Policy

If a lesson must be cancelled, the student must provide at least 24 hours notice, otherwise payment is due in full.
